No Biarritz bid for Jones

Biarritz have strenuously denied rumours that they are set to sign Stephen Jones from Llanelli Scarlets.

The Wales fly-half looks poised to leave Stradey Park after Scarlets chief executive Stuart Gallacher had revealed that Jones was holding talks with other clubs.

Reports in the French press and the absence of Jones from the Llanelli side to face Clermont only added fuel to speculation.

However, if Jones is set to quit the Welsh region, then Biarritz will not be his next destination - with the club's president Marcel Martin claiming no talks have been held with the former Clermont No.10.

He said: "There has been no contact whatsoever between Stephen Jones or his agent.

That is the main problem with this country...the criminals and crazy people have more rights then the law abidding citizens and children. To confused, I do not believe in sheltering my children or making them scared of the world, however, I am not going to intentionally do things that could put them in danger. Remember the case of Danielle Van Dam, the little girl who sold some cookies to her neighbor (With her mother) and three days later was kidnapped, raped and murdered by the man. " .

Greatest NASCAR moments: Nos. 30-21

Earnhardt's team said no, Labonte chose yes, and as a result The Man in Black restarted from first while "Texas Terry" dropped to fifth.

Although it was only five laps until the end of the race, Labonte chose the right strategy as he breezed by Mark Martin, Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and finally Earnhardt to take the lead just before the white flag. But as the two drivers went exited Turn 2, Earnhardt caught Labonte's bumper and spun him out on the final lap — allowing him to drive unchallenged to the checkered flag.

"I didn't really mean to turn him around," said Earnhardt in Victory Lane. "I meant to rattle his cage though."

Mike Joy, NASCAR on FOX race announcer: I really expected that Dale's popularity would take a huge hit after this one. But his legion of fans condoned just about anything he did.

Mayor's interview on WMXD-FM

KK: My wife is absolutely amazing, I can't really talk about it without crying, so let me just say that, she's unbelievable. She's been unbelievable throughout this process. I love her, she loves me. We're prayerful, we're constantly submitting to will and we are continuing to move forward. She's the greatest mom ever, you know I've got the mic, she's continuing to do what she does and this has been absolutely amazing, eye-opening and transformational for me to watch that.

FD: You spoke about first lady being a mom, you talked about at your presentation Wednesday evening, you talked about having to have a discussion with your children.

KK: Toughest discussion I have ever had to have. You know 12-year-old boys. I asked them to get in the car with me and we went for a drive.

Stayaway Reebok fans: What's the answer?

BOLTON Wanderers are banking on new boss Gary Megson delivering results that will lift them clear of the relegation zone and ease growing concerns over a dramatic drop in attendances.

Crowd figures at the Reebok have slumped to a record low as the Whites have struggled at the wrong end of the Premiership.

And, while they are considering a range of incentives to boost gates, they don't expect any significant improvement until the team starts climbing the table.

"The stark reality is that the club is struggling on the pitch," commercial director, Gareth Moores, said.

Speak up in the Rockets forum

Soon, the Rockets were all moving, with McGrady, who made all four of his shots in the fourth quarter and picked up four assists, making backcuts and looking to drive regularly.

In the first 8 1/2 minutes of the fourth quarter, when the Rockets went from an eight-point lead to blow it open at 107-88, they made 12 of 16 shots, including five of seven on 3-pointers. They capped their run with McGrady hitting a jumper, Battier putting in consecutive 3s and Jackson hitting a 3.

With that, Adelman saw the offense he had envisioned, and perhaps the next step of the Rockets' growth through the winning streak.

"We attacked," Adelman said. "Tracy did a great job in the second half attacking the basket. He just took it at them, and if he didn't have the shot, he found people open.
