| Drive a dream, for a limited time, with Orlando luxury-car club
For about $53,000, affluent Central Floridians can slip into the custom-fitted leather seats of a silver Saleen S7 sports car and test its reputation as one of the fastest cars on the road. But only for a year. A pricey, annual membership to Luxautica -- a new car-share club inside a renovated art gallery near the Mall at Millenia -- allows the elite access to its private collection of 20 exotic cars, including Lamborghinis, Ferraris and a Rolls-Royce. Orlando's Cary Erfurth, a partner with Island One Resorts time-share company, became the club's charter member. .
Hungarian GP - Sunday - Team Quotes
Fernando Alonso (4th): "I am quite pleased with the race today which was a difficult one. The maximum we could have reached from sixth position on the grid was a podium finish - especially on this circuit which is comparable to Monaco in terms of overtaking opportunities. This didn't work out in the end, but fourth is better than fifth and at the final stage of the race I did not push too much to save my engine for the Turkish Grand Prix. Without the penalty after yesterday's qualifying the victory would have been possible today as you can see on my lap times when I had a clear track. I am now seven points behind Lewis. The fight for the championship is still open and I will try my best to close the gap." Ron Dennis, Team Principal: "A weekend full of stress and emotion. The issues that faced us, not just this weekend but also in the previous month, has tested the resolve of the whole team.
Production notes
Ivan [Reitman] encouraged me to play Jenny as broadly as possible, and to take the risk of making the character seem like a fool." At first glance -- or first date -- Jenny appears to be quite a "catch"; after all, she's a vivacious, vibrant, and beautiful woman. But, as Reitman notes, it doesn't take long for the story's protagonist, Matt Saunders, to realize that there's something "off" about Jenny. "She's a very verbal person," says the director. "Basically, she talks too much and hasn't yet learned the fine art of self-censorship." Jenny is too much -- way too much -- to handle for a regular guy like Matt. Matt, played by Luke Wilson, is a successful architect who, like most single people (including future girlfriend-from hell Jenny), is looking for love. He is the story's straight man and, says Reitman, the heart of the film.

Through the eyes of adventure photographer Corey Rich
He woke up at 7 a.m. the next day and bathed inside his van, using a sponge and a bucket of water. He slipped on his nicest pair of slacks and dress shoes, walked through the glass doors of Quokka Sports and was escorted to a room. There were maybe a dozen people in the room, all seated at a long, narrow table. He sat at one end, and at the other end was the boss who had spotted his photo in Outside magazine. He waved to Rich, introduced himself and got down to business. "First, are you interested, and second, are you available?" he asked. Rich noticed everyone else in the room had taken their cell phones out and placed them on the table, but they were much smaller than his. Nevertheless, he took out his black brick of a cell phone and plopped it down on the table, causing a big thud.
Name-Calling and a Canceled Lecture
But canceling a professional speech because of a personal letter would be a crass offense to freedom of speech. We can’t air that dirty laundry. So the Department clammed up, leaving Dershowitz to fill the air with speculation about looming threats to his safety. But of course that explanation is preposterous. Dr. Trivers did not show up at the Student Union with a shotgun. He was invited to deliver a professional speech, the kind of courtesy extended thousands of times each year with no acts of violence (other than occasionally to a speaker’s credibility) recorded. If there were any concerns, they could have been settled with a phone call. Regardless of what we think of Dr. Trivers, the person who should be pressed for an explanation is the department chair who rescinded his invitation.
Midnight dance: Escondido's newest fine-dining offers late-night ...
The most exotic thing on the menu at Tango Restaurant & Wine Bar may not be the foie gras, goat cheese souffle, venison chop or caviar. No, the most exotic offering, especially for a fine Escondido restaurant, may be the hours."I've lived in San Francisco, and in North Beach they have Italian places open until 4 a.m.," said Russell Hawkins, who sees nothing unusual about closing his new restaurant on Grand Avenue at midnight three nights a week. Hawkins, executive chef of Tango Restaurant & Wine Bar, said the midnight closings will be especially appreciated by others who work in the restaurant industry who have few dinner choices other than fast food and diners once they get off work. With a movie theater complex and the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, just blocks away, Hawkins likely can expect audience members looking for food after their shows.
The China-Russia-Iran Axis
China seeks to establish itself as the next superpower, to subdue and consume Taiwan, ensure its energy supply and to dominate South Asia and the Pacific rim. Each of them and their chosen paths are impeded by a sufficiently strong America. FP: What do you make of Iran's invitation to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization? Schippert: The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) was originally the manifestation of the Russian and Chinese rapprochement, a new strategic pact between historic enemies. It was publicly introduced as an anti-terrorism regional cooperative, looking to combine regional efforts to combat the thereat that terrorism posed to each participating state. But, while each may indeed have its own challenges posed by regional terrorism, The SCO has always been largely leveraged by Russia and China as an anti-US strategic cooperative, including security and economic aspects.
